How much should I tip?
It depends on the country. In the US 15 to 20 percent is normal, in much of Europe rounding up or 5 to 10 percent is common, and in some countries tipping is not expected at all.
Is the tip calculated before or after tax?
That is up to you. Enter the amount you want to tip on: the bill before tax, or the bill with tax.
How do I split a bill evenly?
Enter the number of people. The tool divides the total, including the tip, by that number.
Does it round the amounts?
Amounts are shown with two decimals. The real division can differ by a cent when it does not come out evenly.
