How do I calculate a percentage increase?
Subtract the old value from the new value, divide by the old value and multiply by 100. From 80 to 100 is (100 - 80) / 80 x 100 = 25%.
How do I find X percent of a number?
Multiply the number by X and divide by 100. 15% of 200 is 200 x 15 / 100 = 30.
Why is there no result when the starting value is 0?
A percentage change from zero is undefined, because it would mean dividing by zero.
