Frequently asked questions
What happens when someone scans it?
Phones recognise the code as a contact (a vCard). They show the name, phone number, email and address and offer to save them in the address book. Nobody has to type anything.
Does the QR code stop working after some time?
No. The details are stored inside the code itself, so it works as long as the code is readable. This also means you cannot change the details afterwards. If your number changes, make a new code.
Will a logo make the code harder to scan?
A small logo is fine, because the code is made with the highest error correction. Keep the logo small or medium, use a dark code on a light background and always scan the result with a phone before printing.
How big should it be on a business card?
At least 2 x 2 centimetres (about 0.8 inch), with a clear border around it. Dense codes with many details need a bit more room, so leave out what you do not need.
Is my information uploaded?
No. The code is made in your browser and your details are not sent anywhere.
