Frequently asked questions
What is compound interest?
Interest on your balance that includes the interest from earlier periods. Because the balance grows, the interest grows too, which is why long periods make such a difference.
When are the monthly deposits added?
At the end of each month. Interest is added to the balance as you choose: daily, monthly, quarterly or yearly.
Is this a prediction?
No. It is a calculation with a fixed rate. Real savings and investments rarely give the same return every year, and taxes and fees are not included.
Why is the interest small in the first years?
Interest is a percentage of the balance, and the balance is small at the start. Most of the growth comes in the later years.
