Frequently asked questions
Does it compare words or lines?
Lines. A line that changed shows as one removed line and one added line. For long paragraphs, put each sentence on its own line first for a finer result.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. The comparison runs in your browser, so it is safe for private documents and source code.
Is there a size limit?
Texts of several thousand lines work fine. Extremely long texts with many differences can be too heavy for the browser, in which case you get a message.
